than what you teach.”

Heather Moule- Founder, Director, Caregiver
Wildwood Playschool has been a long-held dream, shaped by years of working alongside young children and a deep love for the wild rhythms of childhood. After growing up in Placerville, it feels like a homecoming to return to these mountains and offer something back to the community that raised me.
With over 16 years in early childhood education, including running Sunny Days Farmschool, a farm-based preschool on the Central Coast, I’ve seen again and again how children thrive when given space to play freely, follow their curiosity, and connect with the natural world. Wildwood is a place where muddy feet, wonder, and wild imaginations are welcome.
When I’m not on the ground with the littles, I’m happiest in the garden, on the trail, sleeping under the stars, on my yoga mat, or making bad pottery with great joy. I try to live slowly, notice beauty often, and keep my hands in the dirt whenever I can.

Want to join our team? We're hiring!
At Wildwood Playschool, we believe in childhood shaped by wonder, movement, and the wild. Our days unfold under the pines, where all-weather play, slow rhythms, and nurturing care create space for deep connection and growth.
We’re looking for warm, grounded humans who see caregiving as the heart of early childhood education, people who find meaning in muddy boots, shared meals, and small moments under tall trees.
If you're drawn to this work, we’d love to meet you.
