Wildwood Playschool
Where children root in nature, rise through play and
grow with the wonder of their wild spirit
We discover. We create. We cook and eat the food we grow. We share stories. We sing and dance. We explore and advocate for our local landscape. We take loving care of our animals. Most importantly though, we play.
Wildwood Playschool is a play-based child care program located on Pony Express Trail, nestled along the beautiful, forested border of Camino and Pollock Pines, California. Surrounded by towering pines and fresh mountain air, Wildwood offers children a nurturing, nature rich environment to explore, play, and grow wild and free.
At Wildwood, we believe that children have the right to play, explore and take reasonable risks. We understand that the most important skills and lessons that children need to learn, can not be taught, but experienced.
We support whole child development by providing a sensory rich environment, that values child led play and creativity. Our ever evolving environment meets children where they are at while providing opportunities to explore their emerging interests and needs.
Children are supported by compassionate, knowledgeable caregivers that aim to foster loving and respectful relationships with each child. Our caregivers value children’s play and recognize children as capable and competent learners.
